From the {very messy} desk of Briana

Updated: Mar 14, 2020

As COVID-19 begins to have an increased impact in our lives and communities, we would like address you directly about the situation and your massage therapy appointment.

As of this post, we are open for business as usual. We are taking the virus very seriously, and are doing everything we can ensure we and our clients stay healthy. Stress and anxiety are at a high right now - good news is massage therapy helps with that; but we have to be within 6 feet of each other in order for it to be effective.

For the time being, we will be waving our cancellation fees, but we will stick to our 100% no show charge.

If you are feeling sick, have a cough, or you are showing symptoms of sickness, or have someone around you sick… PLEASE RESCHEDULE!! We would be happy to take care of you when you are well. If you are showing symptoms of being sick at your appointment, we will reschedule you. Our team is committed to doing the same for you! If we are sick, we will not be coming in! Your health and wellness is our #1 priority.

This comparison chart is complied information from the CDC, WHO, and American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and can be found in a Business Insider article here.

We are taking guidance from the CDC, which recommends regular cleaning as one of the most important preventative measures we can take - which is easy to follow since this is our norm anyway.

<---This meme gave us all a good chuckle. Hopefully it will brighten your day a little as well. 😁

Because of the nature of our profession, our team maintains a high standard of sanitation year round. As massage therapists we always wash our hands up over our elbows - every time we wash our hands. This includes (but definitely isn’t limited to) before every massage, after every massage, after stripping the tables, after disinfecting the treatment and other rooms, after using the computer, after taking payment, after using the phone.

We always use fresh linens, and as with all healthcare facilities, disinfect all surfaces with EPA-registered disinfectant. The primary change we are making is “allowing” clients to see us doing the disinfecting instead of doing it “behind the scenes.” Please do not be offended to see us spraying and vigorously wiping down the chair, pen, or doorknob after you have just used it. 😁

Thank you for being such a valued guest. Your support means the world for our growing business. We appreciate your understanding as we move forward and continue working through this!
